Michelle Howser has dedicated 28 years to the legal field, serving in nearly every capacity except Judge. Her journey began in the early 1990s as a receptionist and secretary, while she completed her undergraduate degree in Pre-Law studies at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). By the time she graduated in 1992, Michelle had advanced to the role of paralegal, supporting a chief partner with a focus on employment and labor law.
After graduating, Michelle chose to focus on her family and explore her artistic interests, stepping away from the legal field for five years before returning as a paralegal in 1998. That year, she joined Wilson & Bradley, where she expanded her expertise into personal injury and social security law. Her tenure at Wilson & Bradley lasted about a year, until a significant life change led her to accept a position with the State of Tennessee Judiciary as a judicial assistant for Circuit Court Judge Don R. Ash in 1999.
During her time with Judge Ash, Michelle was encouraged to pursue further education and was inspired by the advice of a legal mentor: “When bad things happen you only have two options: to get bitter or to get better.” Motivated to “get better,” she enrolled full-time at Nashville School of Law while continuing to work full-time and raise her family as a single mother. Before completing law school in 2006, she was invited to help newly appointed Circuit Court Judge J. Mark Rogers establish his judicial office and served as law clerk/judicial assistant. In 2007, Michelle passed the bar exam and launched her career as an attorney.
From 2007 to 2012, Michelle served as an associate at Greg Reed & Associates, specializing in family law and criminal defense. Her natural affinity for family law prompted her return to Wilson & Bradley, where she soon became a partner in the firm that evolved into Wilson, Howser, Oliver & Turner.
In early 2019, Michelle started her own firm, embracing technology and innovative approaches to help families navigate the legal world. Her firm leverages cutting-edge technology to simplify legal processes for families, providing user-friendly resources and personalized guidance. Through these efforts, Michelle empowers clients to approach new chapters in their lives with confidence and clarity, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
Michelle serves on the board of Tennessee Legal Association for Women, Rutheford Cable, and is a past board member for the non-profit, HELP for Nicaragua. She has also served as Past President of Middle Tennessee Legal Association for Women and holds the honor of being a alumni of Leadership Rutherford and The Titan 100. She is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Rutherford/Cannon County Bar Association, Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, Bedford County Chamber of Commerce, Coffee County Chamber of Commerce, the American Bar Association, the Andrew Jackson Inn of Court, and First Presbyterian Church.
She has presented numerous presentations to groups in the field and throughout the community to educate them about issues in family law, legal technology, civility and ethics.

Zoe Hannis, Esq.
Attorney Zoe Hannis is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and an alumna of the University of Mississippi School of Law. After graduating with her juris doctorate, passing the bar exam, and being admitted to practice law in Tennessee, Zoe worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Chancellor Howard W. Wilson of the 16th Judicial District. During her clerkship with Chancellor Wilson, Zoe became well acquainted with the Rutherford County Bar and the upstanding attorneys who practice in the community.
As the youngest member of a large blended family, Zoe’s first-hand experience with family law matters inspired her strong desire to advocate for families in the legal system. During her time in law school, Zoe interned for Foreman Family Law where her passion for the practice of family law was truly ignited. This passion led to her involvement in several student organizations in law school, including service as Vice President of Public Relations for the Mississippi Family Law Society, President of the Law Association for Women, and Recruiting Chair for the Dean’s Leadership Council.
While originally from Franklin, Texas, Zoe has enjoyed and embraced the community she has found in Murfreesboro. She’s a proud supporter of MTSU football, where her husband works as the video technology assistant for the blue raiders. Zoe is involved with her church family at Murfreesboro First Baptist on Main Street and has come to know and love many long-time Murfreesboro residents. This experience encouraged her to pursue a firm where she could serve the families of her community. In August of 2026, Zoe joined Howser and Associates, PLLP and is excited to work with an experienced and effective legal team to advocate for clients.
